• Hominy's Audree Stehno named 2025-2026 Native American NSU Ambassador (osagenews.org) — In Tahlequah, Northeastern State University has named sophomore Audree Stehno as the 2025-2026 Native American NSU Ambassador, a role based on campus here. She’ll represent Native students, connect them with cultural programs and support groups, and encourage young Native leaders to step into visible roles at NSU.
   

• Northeastern State University rolls over East Central in First Americans Bowl (eufaulaindianjournal.com) — Northeastern State University capped its season in Tahlequah with a record-shattering 56–21 First Americans Bowl win that coaches and players say restored local football pride. Quarterback Donnie Smith and receiver Deuce Roberson powered the blowout as NSU finished 9–? with seven straight wins, a postseason victory, and a renewed sense that RiverHawks football belongs among Oklahoma’s top programs.
   

• The Cherokee Nation debuts new Cherokee language dictionary app (fox23.com) — From Tahlequah, the Cherokee Nation is rolling out a free Cherokee language dictionary app with over 6,000 English-to-Cherokee translations, audio from speakers, and an AI study assistant. Developed with New Zealand-based Kiwa Digital, the project aims to help citizens in Tahlequah and around the world reconnect with Cherokee language and culture through accessible, modern technology.
