  1. Congratulations to Dr. Kirt Hartzler, superintendent of Union Public Schools, who has been named the 2023 Oklahoma State Superintendent of the Year. In addition, he has also been named the Oklahoma Association of School Administrators District #5 Superintendent of the Year. According to KOKI Fox 23 Tulsa, "Dr. Hartzler has lead Union Public Schools since 2013 and served for the district before that as Deputy Superintendent and Associate Superintendent."   2. Abandoned puppies were rescued by Tulsa deputies. Someone abandoned a box of puppies on at the 7100 block of North Oakcliff Drive early Thursday morning. Tulsa deputies responded to a call about the puppies and came to pick them up, two were found in a cardboard box and two others were found a few hours later in the same area. The pups were taken to Tulsa Animal Welfare Pets. They will be put up for adoption shortly. (KTUL)
  3. Comic book fan Nicholas Goltra is hosting the Tulsa Comic Book Swap on June 18, Father's Day. According to KOKI Fox 23 Tulsa, "The event will be exclusively for comic books and comic artists, says Goltra. He adds that there will be over 1K in comic book-related giveaways and a comic book artist on location to sketch your favorite superhero. The event is free to the public and will take place at Glenpool Conference Center, on June 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m." (KOKI FOX 23 TULSA)
