- Tulsans are utilizing free cooling centers across the city to cope with excessive heat, with three locations available. As temperatures rise, residents seek shade and hydration, benefiting from places like John 3:16 downtown. The city advises wearing light clothing, checking on vulnerable individuals, and never leaving children or pets in hot cars. (2 News Oklahoma KJRH Tulsa)
- A homeless man, previously on bond for an attempted child stealing case, has been arrested again for allegedly raping two girls aged 13 and 14. Damon Dozier is accused of picking up a 13-year-old runaway on Jun. 12 and two 14-year-old runaways on Jun. 14 near 51st and Harvard in Tulsa. Police state that Dozier held a knife to one girl's throat during the incidents and denies the accusations, claiming he believed the girls were 18. (news9.com KWTV)
- After a search conducted by the Tulsa Police Department, a 1-month-old baby has been located and placed in the custody of the Department of Human Services (DHS). The parents, Richard A. Shook and Tavoyia Gomez, allegedly left the baby at a relative's home and fled while DHS was attempting to take the child into custody due to their relapse on Fentanyl and non-compliance with the safety plan.
