California Trucker Killed In Oregon Rollover Crash
Pete Cappello, 63, was killed when his Kenworth CMV rolled on Highway 395 just south of Lakeview, Oregon, on Tuesday.
LAKEVIEW, OR — A commercial truck driver from Cottonwood, California, was killed Tuesday when his Kenworth truck rolled several times on Highway 395 south of Lakeview, Oregon.
Pete George Cappello, 63, was reportedly hauling sheets of metal north with his 2011 Kenworth semi and attached flatbed trailer when, for unknown reasons, the flatbed drifted into the ditch and caused the whole apparatus to roll on the highway near milepost 151.
Oregon State Police officials said Cappello sustained fatal injuries in the roll and died at the scene.
