FedEx Truck Hits SUV In McMinnville; SUV Driver Killed
Donald Whitlow, 74, turned into the path of an oncoming FedEx truck Thursday evening. The truck driver, a California man, was unhurt.

MCMINNVILLE, OR — A FedEx truck collided with an SUV on Highway 18 Thursday night, killing the SUV's 74-year-old driver. The truck driver, a California man, was unhurt, police said.
Donald Whitlow of McMinnville was reportedly driving his silver 1998 Chevrolet Trailblazer on Highway 18 around 9:30 p.m. June 28 when he attempted a left turn near a business park just south of McMinnville. Heading east, FedEx truck driver Barry Thompson, 33, of Modesto, California, collided with Whitlow's Chevy.
Whitlow reportedly sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. Thompson remained at the crash and cooperated with investigators. No charges have been filed.
