One Killed In Highway 101 Crash: Police
TyAnn Walker, 32, was killed when her boyfriend, Shane Larson, crossed into oncoming traffic during a drive Sunday afternoon.

HOLIDAY BEACH, OR — A 32-year-old woman from Beaver, Oregon, was killed Sunday when her boyfriend swerved his car into oncoming traffic on Highway 101 near Holiday Beach, colliding head-on with another vehicle.
Oregon State Police are reportedly investigating whether speed and intoxicants were contributing factors in the crash.
TyAnn Walker and Shane Larson were traveling north on Highway 101 at about 3:45 p.m. May 20 when, for unknown reasons, Larson crossed into the southbound lane near the Newport Municipal Airport and crashed head-on into a Buick Verano driven by 50-year-old Springfield resident Sean Compton.

After colliding, the Buick spun on the roadway, coming to rest against the guard rail, while the Toyota rolled off the highway and into a brush-covered ditch, stopping on its top.
Walker reportedly died at the scene of the crash. She is survived by a young son.

Compton and Larson, 44, were taken Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport.
Larson was later taken by LifeFlight to hospital in Corvallis.
