Comcast and Amazon have announced a series of new and extended distribution agreements that bring more content, control, and convenience

If you're living in Oregon and love streaming your favorite shows, movies, and live sports, there's exciting news that will make your entertainment setup even better. Comcast NBCUniversal and Amazon have announced a series of new and extended distribution agreements that bring more content, more convenience, and more control to customers using Prime Video, Fire TV, Peacock, and Xfinity X1.
What’s Changing?
- Peacock Premium Plus on Prime Video: Prime members can now subscribe to Peacock’s ad-free tier directly through Prime Video for $16.99/month or $169.99/year. This includes access to live, local NBC channels and offline downloads.
- Universal Pictures Films on Prime Video: Blockbusters like Jurassic World Rebirth, The Bad Guys 2, and Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale will continue to be available to buy or rent on Prime Video.
- Prime Video App on Xfinity X1: Comcast customers can now access Prime Video’s full library—including Amazon Originals, live sports, and hundreds of FAST channels—directly through their Xfinity X1 or Xumo devices.
Why This Matters in Oregon
Oregon residents are known for embracing digital convenience and diverse entertainment options. This expanded partnership brings several key benefits:
- Local NBC Access: With Peacock Premium Plus now available on Prime Video, Oregonians can stream live, local NBC channels—keeping them connected to regional news, weather, and sports.
- Simplified Streaming: From Portland to Eugene, you can now manage subscriptions like Peacock and Prime Video in one place—making it easier to find what you love without switching apps.
- Enhanced Xfinity Experience: For the many Oregon households using Xfinity X1, this means voice-controlled access to Prime Video content, integrated streaming, and features like multiview and 4K—all in one intuitive platform.
