Oregon Woman Put Dog In Oven Believing It Was Her Ex-Boyfriend

The woman was arrested on animal abuse charges after the chihuahua was found dead, police said.

WARRENTON, OR -- An Oregon woman said she thought her ex-boyfriend was inside a chihuahua when she recently decided to put the pet inside an oven. Noel Moor is now facing animal abuse charges after she allegedly killed the dog.

The 7-year-old dog was found dead after someone informed police of the incident, according to The Oregonian.

An affidavit obtained by the news organization said ""The smell of burnt hair and flesh was still in the air" when the officer found the four-legged animal inside the oven.

The Oregonian reported that Moor said "she had placed the pet in the oven because she believed her ex-boyfriend was inside it."

The Daily Astorian reported that "Moor had been involved in several disturbances in the past month that have led to interactions with Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare."
