Salem officials have developed online resources to help residents and water customers learn more about the city's water quality.

ACROSS OREGON - From the City of Salem: The City of Salem has developed online resources to help Salem residents and water customers learn more about Salem’s water quality.
Featured resources include the latest water sample test data, information on Salem’s new powdered activated carbon pretreatment system, the ELISA water testing system that provides same-day results, and other useful information for residents and water customers.
On July 4, 2018, at 12:30 p.m., the City of Salem began pre-treating drinking water at the Geren Island Water Treatment Facility with powdered activated carbon to reduce cyanotoxins that may still be present in the untreated water, as it enters the water treatment facility.
