Avryn Hayes was reportedly traveling south on the Bend Parkway in a 2004 Subaru Impreza driven by his mother's 27-year-old boyfriend on Thursday morning when the 33-year-old driver of a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado crossed the center median and met the Subaru head-on.
Avryn reportedly suffered a broken leg and fractured skull in the crash. He was removed from the Subaru by its unidentified driver, who did not sustain any "noticeable injuries," police said.
