• New owners on the horizon for Video Horizons (dailyastorian.com) — Downtown Astoria’s longtime video store, Video Horizons, has been sold to former employee James Strecker and partner Coral Locke, who plan to reopen under their ownership on Jan. 6, 2026. After 41 years, founder Neal Cummings is retiring but will work through Dec. 31, while the new owners aim to turn the shop into a community-focused destination for movie lovers.
