2-Alarm Fire At Beaverton Apartments; No Injuries Reported

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue crews knocked down the fire at Sterling Pointe Apartments in just under an hour, officials said.

BEAVERTON, OR — Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue crews along with Beaverton police were dispatched to an apartment fire near the Murrayhill Marketplace Thursday morning.

The two-alarm fire at Sterling Pointe Apartments off Southwest Teal Boulevard was first announced just before 11 a.m. April 26 on TVF&R's Twitter account. By 11:45 a.m., crews were reportedly mopping up.

No injuries were reported and no residents were at the affected apartments at the time of the fire, according to Beaverton police. Officers did, however, rescue a dog named 'Alpine.'

The fire appeared to have originated from the second story of the apartments, TVF&R officials said, noting flames could be seen coming through the roof of the complex.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
