2 Kohl's Thieves Arrested; One Still At-Large: Beaverton Police
Jessica Jones and Katelyn Johnson of Vancouver, WA, reportedly stole $100s in merchandise from Kohl's before crashing a Mercedes.

BEAVERTON, OR — Two Vancouver, Washington, women were arrested while another unidentified suspect got away on Saturday following a short police chase through Beaverton. The women, police officials said, were caught stealing hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise from a Kohl's department store.
Jessica Marie Jones, 40, and Katelyn Noell Johnson, 22, were taken to Washington County Jail following their arrests.

- Jones is charged with attempting to elude police, reckless driving, criminal mischief, and identity theft.
- Johnson is charged with theft, attempting to elude, and possession of methamphetamine.
Beaverton officers were dispatched just after 9 p.m. Aug. 18 to a reported theft at the Beaverton Kohl's located at 11055 S.W. Canyon Rd.

Officers spotted the 2018 Mercedes associated with the alleged theft about a block away from the store at the intersection of Southwest Canyon Road and Southwest 110th Avenue. Jones, instead of pulling over for police, chose instead to flee.
The chase concluded when Jones crashed the Mercedes into a concrete divider near the Sylvan exit on Highway 26. After the crash, Johnson and a third occupant in the Mercedes bailed and ran.

A police K9 tracked and found Johnson but could not locate the third person.
In the Mercedes, police reportedly found the stolen merchandise, drugs, and evidence of identity theft.
