Beaverton High School's official Twitter account makes high school look like a lot of fun. They share everything from sports announcements to updates about the Beaverton High School Japanese Club and even what's going on in Freshman STEM Physics class. Follow them and it's pretty much guaranteed you'll get in the school spirit.

3. Beaverton Events (@BeavEvents)

This account's bio reads: "Unofficial and Most Lit Account at The Beav." Beaverton Events is an excellent example of how Twitter can be a tool that helps the community connect while also having a lot of fun. While it's unclear who's behind this account, the tweets are all about encouraging the school's sports teams, sharing photos from events and reminding people to vote for the homecoming princess, among other announcements.

4. Beaverton Police (@BeavertonPolice)

Beaverton Police have done a great job so far in October sharing important information about Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The account is regularly updated with information on police activity in the community as well as photos of officers interacting with citizens.

5. Colette Cassinelli (@CCassinelli)

Colette Cassinelli was named 2015 NCCE Technology Educator of the Year and her Twitter account offers a glimpse into all of the great work she's doing in the city. She's very active on the site, tweeting 10,800 times since joining in 2007. She shares great information about Beaverton Schools, is excellent at interacting with people and sets a fantastic example for how powerful Twitter can be when people use it effectively.
