5 Free, Kid-Friendly Events at Beaverton City Library

The Beaverton City Library hosts free events for different age groups and for the whole family, everyday of the week.

Book clubs, therapy dogs, arts & crafts and journal groups. The Beaverton City Library has it all.

1) OBOB Book Club: Want to join a book club? Here's one just for kids where we discuss different battle books and answer trivia questions. Books include Upsidedown Magic, Quinny and Hopper, Because of Mr. Terput. Registration is free, but required.

When: Wednesday, September 21st (4:00 Drop-Off)

2) Think Fun Thursday: 1st Thursday: Imagination Station--Bring your imagination! 2nd Thursday: Builders--Play with LEGOs and Duplo blocks! 3rd Thursday: Puzzle Time--Fun with puzzles and books! 4th Thursday: Things That Go--Play with things that go! Ages 3-8 with family.

3) Read for Dogs: A great way for young ones still learning to read to practice with one of BCL's trained therapy dogs.

When: Saturday, September 24, 2016 (10:00 - 12:00)

Where: Beaverton City Library

4) Washi Tape Crafts for Kids: This colorful masking tape is made from Japaneses rice paper, and it'sa great material to use for arts and crafts. Get creative with the the whole family, ages 2-12.

When: Monday, September 26th (4:00 Drop-Off)

Where: Cathy Stanton Conference Room

5) Mod Podge Journals: This event is designed for a slightly older age group. Tweens will create, customize and decorate blank journals using a variety of paper mediums, embellishments and Mod Podge glue. Grades 3-8, limited to 35. Registration required.

When: Friday, September 23rd ( 4:30 - 5:30)
