Beaverton Schools Holds Community Vaccination Event On Friday
Working with Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center, the Beaverton School District event is open to anyone 5-years-old and older.

BEAVERTON, OR —The Beaverton School District is working with Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center to get as many people vaccinated against COVID-19 as possible. They will be holding a vaccination clinic on Friday, Nov. 12 from 2 p.m. through 6 p.m.
The event is open to anyone 5-years-old and older.
Officials hope that parents will bring kids and everyone will get the vaccine if they haven't already.

"We are thrilled that our youngest students will now have the opportunity to get the same vaccine protection that's been afforded to the rest of the community," Deputy Superintendent for the Beaverton School District Carl Mead, tells Patch.

"It's the most important way of mitigating the spread of COVID-19 and ensuring that students can continue to attend school in person."
The event will be held from 2 p.m. through 6 p.m. on Friday at the Aloha-Huber Park K-8 in Beaverton.
"It is critical that we reduce the barriers that keep our families from being vaccinated as soon as possible," Virginia Garcia CEO Gil Munoz says.
Officials from the Washington County Public Health Department will also be on hand.
