Beaverton Schools Cancel Wednesday Classes

BEAVERTON, OR — The school district on Tuesday announced the cancellation of all Wednesday classes and activities in response to snow forecasts Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Weather forecasts issued late Monday called for a winter weather advisory across a good portion of the Pacific Northwest, with upward of 4 inches of snow possible in some areas.

Schools let out early Tuesday, expecting the snow to begin earlier in the afternoon, but the storm didn't end up hitting the area until around 7 p.m.
