Beaverton Woman Stole $300,000 From Employer, Says Indictment
Katie Ann Baca allegedly used multiple credit cards to steal money for family vacations, food, clothing, and more.

BEAVERTON, OR – A woman from Beaverton allegedly stole more than $300,000 from her employer and used the money for food, clothing, family vacations, and more. A new indictment states that 35-year-old Katie Ann Baca used credit cards to embezzle from her employer.
The Multnomah County District Attorney's Office is describing her employer only as "a private holding company."
Baca, who faces 30 charges of theft, identity theft, and more, was hired by the company in June 2015 and fired this past February. The thefts started in Nov. 2015 and ended in Jan. 2017, according to the indictment.

She appeared in court on Wednesday where a plea of not guilty was entered on her behalf. She was released on her own recognizance and is due back in court in December.

The indictment states that she used at five separate credit cards to make the purchases.
Portland Police Detective Elizabeth Cruthers of the bureau's White Collar Crimes Unit is leading the investigation.
