BEAVERTON, Ore. - The City of Beaverton has a new grant program to support local businesses as they take on the costs of expanding by constructing outdoor service areas in parking lots or on-street parking.

Applications for the Open Air Beaverton Grant Program are now open at www.BeavertonOregon.gov/OABGrants.
The program offers two grant types:

Design Grants (no cost to grantee): The City of Beaverton will contract with a designer (e.g. structural engineer, architect) to produce required permit-ready drawings for the construction of a compliant outdoor service area and help the grantee obtain quotes from contractors, as well as required permits.
Construction Grants (70% matching grants up to $15,000): The City of Beaverton will provide a cash matching grant to cover a portion of costs associated with constructing a compliant outdoor service area.
