Convicted Killer Arrested In Beaverton
Justin Hookie reportedly ran from police after he was pulled over for not using a turn signal in South Beaverton. He was later arrested.

BEAVERTON, OR — After evading police early Friday morning following a traffic stop, Justin Case Hookie was arrested in South Beaverton around noon.
Police say Hookie, 28, was pulled over while driving a 2007 Ford sedan on Southwest Cherry Hill Drive, near Southwest Wilson Avenue, after an officer noticed Hookie not using a turn signal just after midnight Friday. After pulling over, however, Hookie bailed on foot and escaped.
Nearly 12 hours later, just before noon March 16, officers spotted Hookie around Southwest Santa Anita Court. When he saw the police, Hookie reportedly ran into a nearby residence where he was subsequently arrested and charged with felony driving while suspended.

Hookie lost his driving privileges after he was convicted of killing his supposed girlfriend, Stephanie Dusa, in a car crash on Southwest Murray Boulevard Nov. 22, 2011 — for which he was sentenced to more than five years in prison.
According to an Oregonian report from 2012, Hookie had only been out of jail for three months prior to the crash that took Dusa's life.

Along with his conviction for criminally negligent homicide, Hookie's record includes charges for theft, burglary, robbery, and coercion.
