The Washington County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as Diana Petty. The agency is investigating the crime. (KPTV.com)
- Way to go, Beaverton graduates! Betsy Hammond reports in OregonLive (subscription required) that most of the state's 2022 National Merit Scholars hail from the Westside. - If you weren't already aware, 2022 marks 100 years for Oregon State Parks. It also marks 15 years for Washington County's own Stub Stewart State Park. The park is named after Loren LaSells "Stub" Stewart, a timber industrialist who advocated for public lands as an Oregon state representative. Stewart died in 2005 while the park was under construction. Today, Stub Stewart State Park offers camping, a notoriously well-curated visitor's center, star parties and even puppet shows on occasion!
