- The Beaverton School District has seven classes in quarantine after students and staff were exposed to at least one presumptive positive COVID-19 case in their classrooms. Springville K-8, Montclair Elementary and Mountainside High School each have one class in quarantine, and Conestoga Middle School and Terra Linda Elementary School each have two classes in quarantine. The news comes just one week after the first day of school. (Pamplin Media Group)
- Nike is expected to report its fiscal first-quarter earnings on Thursday. The Beaverton-based footwear retailer expects to post year-over-year revenue growth of over 18 percent to $12.6 billion. In the last four quarters, on average, Nike has beaten earnings estimates over 55 percent. (Yahoo Finance)
- Here are five things to do this week, including Beaverton Restaurant Week beginning this Thursday. The fifth annual Beaverton Restaurant Week is taking place between Sept. 23rd-Oct. 3rd. A select number of restaurants will be offering 10 percent off to frontline workers. (Portland Business Journal)
- The Beaverton City Library will be hosting their Family Storytime on the Lawn (at Main) on Tuesday. Families and kids of all ages will enjoy this storytime featuring books, rhymes, and lots of music. The event will be held from from 11:00-11:30 am on Sept. 21. (Beaverton Patch)
- Portland Public Schools canceled bus routes and left parents wondering how they will get their children to school. In an email to parents on Friday, Portland Public Schools announced that they canceled 13 bus routes to Benson and Lincoln High schools and 16 routes with different pickup or drop-off times for the foreseeable future. PPS says it will have more information for families this coming week to help them. (KPTV.com)
