Southridge High School Student Indicted In Crash That Killed Two
Xavier Rodriguez ran a red light, crashing into a car driven by sheriff's deputy, police said. Two of Rodriguez's friends were killed.
BEAVERTON, OR — The Southridge High School student who police said drove through a red light, crashing into a car driven by a Washington County Sheriff's Deputy, critically injuring him and killing two other students, has been indicted in the crash.
A grand jury charged Xavier Rodriguez, 18, with two counts of first-degree manslaughter, two counts of second-degree manslaughter, three counts of second-degree assault, one count of reckless driving and one count of driving under the influence
He was arrested as he left the hospital on Friday, police said.

The April 27 crash at the intersection of Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway and Southwest Murray Boulevard critically injured Deputy Michael Trotter, killed two of Rodriguez's friends, Matthew Amaya and Juan Pacheco Aguilera, according to police.
Two other students in the car with Rodriguez were also seriously injured, according to police. No other information about them has been released.
