Teen Charged With Murder In Connection With Death Of Milana Li
A 16-year-old was charged with first-degree murder after Milana Li was found dead, police said.

BEAVERTON, OR — A teen was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the killing of 13-year-old Milana Li, police said. Li was found dead in a creek not far from her home on May 8, according to police.
The 16-year-old teen, whose name is not being released because he's a juvenile, is being held at the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Center, police said.
No details were provided about when or where the 16-year-old was arrested. Police did not say how they connected the teen to the girl's death.

The state plans to try the teen as an adult, Deputy District Attorney Dustin Staten told Judge Brandon Thompson, who ordered the teen held.
The 16-year-old is due back in court on June 3.
