• ODOT Advances Jackson County Curb Ramps Improving Accessibility (theashlandchronicle.com) — Central Point sidewalks are among those getting upgraded as ODOT installs 113 new ADA-compliant curb ramps across Jackson County through summer 2026. Work days this month run December 8–12 and 22–23, improving accessibility and safety in Central Point, Medford, White City, Talent, and Ashland as part of a $6.7 million project. 
• The Salvation Army issues urgent call for volunteers as red kettle season faces shortage (kdrv.com) — Central Point residents are being urged to help fill a serious shortage of Salvation Army bell-ringer volunteers in Jackson County, with just 13 days left in the Red Kettle season. Hundreds of open shifts threaten funding for food, rent, and utility assistance, though an anonymous donor will match Grants Pass kettle gifts up to $100,000, doubling support for struggling Southern Oregon families.
