71-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed In Gresham Wednesday Night: Police
Gresham resident Nghi Vu was reportedly struck by 50-year-old Happy Valley resident Kunavuth Thor around 9:45 p.m. Aug. 8.
GRESHAM, OR — Gresham police on Thursday announced the death of a septuagenarian who was hit by a car on Southeast 182nd Avenue. The collision reportedly occurred near Northwest Third Street around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said Nghi Vu, 71, of Gresham, died after he was struck by 50-year-old Happy Valley resident Kunavuth Thor.
Thor reportedly cooperated with police by remaining at the scene and speaking with investigators. No arrests have been made or charges filed, police said, noting that intoxication does not appear to have been a factor in the crash.
