GRESHAM, OR — A couple from California moving to the Portland area stopped at a hotel in Troutdale before finishing their trek to Corbett. As they slept, thieves stole their U-Haul truck with all their possessions, along with an attached trailer carrying their Mazda Miata.

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office sent deputies to the hotel in the 1000 block of Northwest Graham Road just after 4 a.m., the office said.

Deputies had been at the same hotel in February when a couple moving from Arizona also had possessions stolen while they slept, the sheriff's office said. Neither couple was identified.
