Dr. Samuel Henry Joins Multnomah Education Service District Board Of Directors

Dr. Samuel Henry took the oath of office for Multnomah Education Service District Board Zone 5, Position 1 at the MESD Board of Directors regular meeting Tuesday, Aug.17, 2021 subsequent to the resignation of Director Susie Jones.

“We are very happy to have Dr. Henry join us in serving the students, families, employees and component districts of MESD,” said MESD Board Chair Jessica Arzate.

Samuel was born into a tri-ethnic Black, Red, & immigrant family in post-World War II Washington D.C. Educated in the newly desegregated District of Columbia Public Schools, he matriculated through a pre-engineering high school program and attended the District of Columbia Teachers College, which is a historically Black college (HBCU). Dr. Henry graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education, (history and English).
