Early Morning Gresham Arson Hits Chamber Of Commerce, Travel Shop

An almost 100-year-old building that was home to Walker Travel Agency and the Gresham Chamber of Chamber was badly damaged by fire Monday.

GRESHAM, OR — An early morning arson badly damaged a nearly century-old building in downtown Gresham. The building is the long-time home to both the Walker Travel Agency and the Gresham Chamber of Commerce.

Firefighters responded just before 2 a.m. on Monday to the building on Main Street just off Division.

Gresham High School is right across the street.

The chamber of commerce posted that it's a "sad today today," adding that they're working on both "a short term and long term plan to move forward."

Gresham Police arrested a 43-year-old woman in connection with the fire and charged her with arson. They have not yet said what happened or where she was arrested.
