Gresham Offers Money To Help Make The City A Better Place To Live

The city is accepting applications for Community Enhancement Grants for projects "that improve the quality of life for" Gresham.

GRESHAM. OR – Love Gresham? Live there and want to make it a better place? Have a great to make life better there but just need a little funding to make it happen?

Gresham may have the answer for you.

They have a pool of $20,000 which will be divided up among applicants.

Gresham says that they are looking for projects such as:

  • A new youth festival;
  • Park programs and events;
  • Senior programs;
  • Youth programs;
  • 5K community run;
  • Job skills/work opportunities for the unemployed/homeless;
  • Safety, cleanliness or appearance enhancements;
  • Preserving wildlife and recreational areas for public enjoyment; and
  • Heritage and preservation of Gresham’s history.

Applications can come from nonprofit and charitable organizations, neighborhood groups, schools, faith-0based groups, and people who just have good ideas.

The key is that it has ot help make Gresham a better place.

The application process is open through November 30 and then the grants will be awarded by the Community Enhancement Advisory Committee.
