GRESHAM, OR – Have an interest in becoming a police officer but want to explore whether the qay of life is really for you? The city of Gresham may have the path for you.
The city is now accepting applications for its Police Cadet Program.

Cadets are assigned to the department's operations division where officers train them to take part in traffic patrols and crime prevention. They get to work with on-duty officers providing security at community events.
They may even get the chance to train with the SWAT and K9 units.

You have to be at least 15 and can't be older than 20. You have to live in the area and pass a criminal background check.
