Missing Hiker Diana Bober Killed By Cougar
Diana Bober was last seen August 29. Her body was found Monday afternoon.
GRESHAM, OR – A sad ending to the week-long search for a Gresham woman who was known as an avid hiker. The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says that a body found Monday afternoon is that of 55-year-old Diana Bober.
She had been killed by a cougar. After her body was found on Monday, officials had said that they did not believe foul play had been involved.
Officials say that this is the first confirmed fatal attack of a person by a cougar, according to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, which is assisting in the investigation.
