No Injuries From Roof Fire At Fairview Elementary
The fire broke out among new construction at the school just after students released for the day March 20.

FAIRVIEW, OR — No students, faculty, or staff were harmed in a rooftop fire at Fairview Elementary Tuesday afternoon, according to the Reynolds School District.
The apparently accidental fire was reported just before 2:30 p.m. March 20, roughly 10 minutes after all students had been released at 2:10 p.m. The rooftop where the fire started is part of new construction at the elementary school, officials said, noting the fire began among installation materials and new equipment.
While students were still loading onto buses, staff and faculty still in the school were evacuated for safety, officials said.
