Light Up A Life Fundraiser Underway in Hermiston (northeastoregonnow.com) — Hermiston residents can now honor loved ones through the 37th Annual Light Up A Life fundraiser at Good Shepherd Health Care System, supporting Vange John Memorial Hospice. Donations light symbolic ornaments on the hospital’s lobby tree, include a handmade keepsake, and ensure hospice grief programs and supplies continue, with names read on KOHU radio in January.
   

2. Good Shepherd hosts Legislative Breakfast in Hermiston (northeastoregonnow.com) — Good Shepherd Health Care System in Hermiston recently hosted a Legislative Breakfast to showcase major hospital expansions, new services, and safety partnerships that directly affect local patients. Lawmakers and hospital leaders discussed cutting bureaucratic delays that slow new services, toured the Life Flight base and expanded children’s center, and previewed how upcoming state legislation could impact healthcare access for Hermiston-area residents.
   

3. Bus Service Connecting Northeast Oregon to Portland and Boise Returns (northeastoregonnow.com) — Hermiston residents will soon have intercity bus service again as Northwestern Stage Lines restores the I-84 route connecting Hermiston with Portland, Boise, and several other corridor cities starting December 15. Funded by a federal transit grant administered by ODOT, the daily service will link riders to Amtrak, airports, and other regional and national bus lines, improving access to work, healthcare, and family.
   

4. Grimm wins gold in Bob Mars JV Invite (ritzvillejournal.com) — Hermiston’s wrestling team made a strong showing at the Bob Mars JV Invite in Kennewick, winning the team title with 290 points and several individual matches. The story highlights how Hermiston wrestlers, including Matthew Herera and Aiden Gerrard, edged out Lind-Ritzville/Sprague competitors in key finals, with more regional action coming up at the Brice Williams Invite.
