2 Residents Displaced After House Fire In Hillsboro
No injuries were reported in Thursday night's blaze off Northwest Evergreen Road, but one of the family's 2 dogs is still missing.
HILLSBORO, OR — Two people have been displaced following a two-alarm house fire in Northwest Hillsboro Thursday night, according to Hillsboro Fire Department officials. Also, one of the family's two dogs is missing.
Hillsboro firefighters were dispatched just before 10:30 p.m. Oct. 4 to a residential fire in the 29000-block of Northwest Evergreen Road. The home, an A-frame structure, was reportedly engulfed by the time fire crews arrived on scene.
Thirty-four firefighters from three agencies used multiple fire engines to make quick work of blaze, reportedly knocking down the fire within 25 minutes.

Fire investigators are still working to determine a cause.
One of the residents told fire officials he smelled smoke just before he was called by his alarm-monitoring agency, which reportedly let the resident know his home's fire system had sent out an alarm.

The resident and his wife both safely got out of the home along with one of their two dogs. The other dog, however, has not yet been found.

Firefighters are continuing to extinguish hot spots. Two residents were home when the fire broke out. One of their two pets have been accounted for at this time. Red Cross has been contacted to assist home owners with immediate housing needs. pic.twitter.com/FTutrdujen
