$35K In Disney Merchandise Stolen By Forest Grove Couple: Police
Ryan and Ashley Trapp are suspected of fraudulently purchasing $35,000 worth of Disney products from an online vendor in February.

FOREST GROVE, OR — A couple in Forest Grove is suspected of fraudulently purchasing roughly $35,000 worth of Disney merchandise from an online vendor, according to Forest Grove police.
Ryan and Ashley Trapp allegedly made the fraudulent purchase on Feb. 14.
On March 16, Forest Grove police executed a search warrant at the Trapp's home in the 1700-block of Covey Run Drive. There officers discovered a veritable hoard of Disney products, from toys and clothes to furniture and "even a toaster," Forest Grove police spokesman Capt. Michael Hall said.

Some of the stolen merchandise was still in its boxes, Hall said, adding that some of it was also being used by the Trapp's 10 children.
Altogether, police believe they've only recovered a third of the stolen property and are actively seeking help from the community in locating the other two-thirds. Anyone who may have contacted the Trapps through Craigslist or another classified sales platform is asked to call Forest Grove police.

Neither Ryan nor Ashley have been arrested or charged with any crime at this time, Hall told Patch on Tuesday, adding that there is little information he can share until the investigation progresses further.
