Bank Robber Arrested Again: Sheriff

Brandon Linder, 32, on Monday was arrested for robbing a U.S. Bank in Washington County for the second time since 2009.

ALOHA, OR — A man with an apparent penchant for robbing U.S. Banks in Washington County was arrested Monday in Aloha after he allegedly robbed another U.S. Bank branch.

Brandon Ross Linder, 32, was taken to Washington County Jail. He is being held on probation violations stemming from a 2016 assault conviction. The bank robbery charge will be handled by the FBI.

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, Linder visited the U.S. Bank at 19091 S.W. Tualatin Valley Highway around 2:15 p.m. Sept. 10. Approaching the counter, Linder passed a note demanding money to a teller. Taking an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled on foot, sheriff's officials said.

Deputies quickly began searching the area near the bank for someone matching the description provided by witnesses and located a man they believed was the suspect — later identified as Linder — at a nearby shopping center. Linder was arrested without additional incident.

In its statement, sheriff's officials noted Linder's previous U.S. Bank robbery conviction from 2009 in Beaverton. Additionally, court documents show Linder has a long history of criminal charges in Oregon dating back to 2004, which includes charges for theft, possession of methamphetamine, possession and use of a stolen vehicle, and disorderly conduct.
