Bethany House Fire Destroys Garage, Cars; Displaces One
One resident sustained minor injuries in a house fire that took TVF&R firefighters 35 minutes to knock back Monday morning.

HILLSBORO, OR — It took only half an hour for Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue personnel to get control of a house fire in Bethany Monday morning. One resident sustained minor injuries, but did not need to go to hospital, officials said.
Firefighters from TVF&R stations 64 and 68 were dispatched to the residential fire in the 16000-block of Northwest Bernietta Court, near Portland Community College's Rock Creek campus, just before 8 a.m. April 9.
Seeing a column of black smoke while on their way to the scene, TVF&R officials quickly upgraded the incident to a One Alarm fire, officials said.
