• Regence–OHSU still at contract standoff on insurance coverage (oregonlive.com) — If you rely on Hillsboro Medical Center and have Regence insurance, your care could technically go out-of-network after Dec. 31, but you’ll still get in-network coverage there through 2026 under current protections. OHSU and Regence remain locked in contract talks over reimbursement rates and rising costs, with both sides saying patients shouldn’t see immediate billing changes even if a deal lapses.
   

• Pacific University, Willamette University announce potential merger (hillsboronewstimes.com) — Hillsboro residents connected to Pacific University should know the school’s Hillsboro campus would keep its name and location under a proposed merger with Willamette University, forming a new “University of the Northwest.” Leaders say the combined private university could expand academic options, internships, and employer partnerships statewide, while preserving each campus’s identity, programs, and athletics during a multi‑year review and approval process.
