• Central Elementary students in La Grande start spring early with 600 flower bulbs planted (elkhornmediagroup.com) — Central Elementary fifth graders in La Grande spent October planting about 600 tulip and daffodil bulbs in whiskey barrels around their school, setting up a bright spring display of Cougar red and yellow. The project is part of the “Lead the Way” leadership program, which helps students build confidence, represent their school, and create a more welcoming environment for classmates and staff.
