While the rain that has drowned dreams of the sun in June should be gone by July 4th, that also means that extreme heat could be back. The threat of very high temperatures and drought means that wildfires are a danger. As a result, many places, including Fort Vancouver, have canceled fireworks displays.

Due to pandemic surges, counties or cities may adjust or cancel events at the last minute, so double-check with organizers. Know of other events in the area? Post them on the Patch calendar.
