• OSAA flips decision, approves new classification system with 6A/5A hybrid leagues (oregonlive.com) — Lake Oswego and Lakeridge will remain in the Three Rivers League under OSAA’s newly approved 2026–30 classification plan, which locks in league opponents like West Linn and Tigard. The decision finalizes where local high school teams will compete statewide, while a separate committee will still sort out football-specific details in coming months.
   

• Disgraced Oregon politician still on the run (oregonlive.com) — A former Clackamas County commissioner accused of major theft is still missing, and court records say she had been living off proceeds from selling her Lake Oswego home. Authorities believe she fled the country using fake identification, while her young son remains with her. State investigators and the boy’s father are deeply concerned she may not be found soon.
   

• Wilsonville man indicted after incident involving sheriff's deputies (wilsonvillespokesman.com) — Lake Oswego and West Linn police are leading the investigation into a Dec. 5 shooting involving Clackamas County sheriff’s deputies and a 19-year-old Wilsonville man who allegedly charged them with an axe. A grand jury has indicted him on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges and ruled the deputies’ use of force justified, with an arraignment expected after his hospital release.
