Southridge, Scappoose, Westside Christian highlight local teams in latest boys basketball coaches polls (forestgrovenewstimes.com) — Lake Oswego boys basketball has jumped into the statewide 6A coaches poll, landing at No. 8 with a 6-2 record. The rankings, compiled by OSAAtoday, spotlight top teams across all Oregon classifications and set the stage for a competitive 2025-26 season.
   

4. Sister Mary Bertoli, SNJM (pressregister.com) — Lake Oswego is noted as the place where 94-year-old Sister Mary Bertoli, SNJM, died on December 11, 2025, after a long life of service. A Mass of Resurrection will be held January 8 at the Chapel of the Holy Names in nearby Marylhurst, followed by burial at Holy Names Cemetery.
