Halloween is also a day of remembrance for The Oregon City Police Department. The department will be at Liberty Plaza on Main Street, located next to the court house. They will be there to honor a fallen officer, Officer Robert Libkes, who was shot and killed a few days after Halloween in November of 2013.
"Our department decided instead of remembering or celebrating his death date, we would celebrate him on Halloween, as this was his last community event. We, as a department, set up a canopy for officers, family members, grandparents...we kind of have a big family gathering. This will be our third year," said Wadsworth.
