5 Happy Hours Not to Miss in Oregon City

Martini's from the wild west, steaks & bourbon, karaoke and white wine-there's a happy hour in Oregon City for you, no matter your budget.

OREGON CITY, OR - Oregon City is home to happy hours of every flavor; historic, western, spicy or wild-there's a spot on this list for every Oregon City resident looking for a good time after work. Whether you're flying solo, or rolling with a crowd of forty plus, there is a place for you on this list.

  • The Highland Stillhouse Pub is first in this round up, primarily because it has the largest selection of single barrel Scotch in Oregon City. They even have their own brand, logo and bottling service. Their happy hour special runs from Tuesday-Friday from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., the bar food menu is made up of experimental, borderline peculiar dishes, such as coconut prawns, deep fried soft pretzels and Scottish hog wings. What's not to love?

  • Midway Historic Public House is a tough place to nail down. You might not understand the theme right away-probably because there isn't one. Oregon City locals agree that the screw driver, bloody Mary and Spanish coffee are all spot on, as are their moderately priced steaks. A great place to wind up on a Friday or Saturday night, Midway Historic is a must.

  • Nineteen 33 Taproom is the move if you're looking for a happy hour on Sunday. Why? Because it's all day. Warm up with a Thai Chili Margarita and nosh on some bacon mac with friends. Nineteen 33 has an extensive wine selection-though they aren't the cheapest spot in this round up. What they lack in affordability, however, they make up for in variety and selection.

  • Weinhard Grill is where Ron Burgandy would go if he was in Oregon City. If a well-prepared steak, a strong bourbon drink and a side of potatoes (or more bourbon) is what you fancy, Weinhard is hard to beat. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the place is packed-it's .95 cents for a craft beer.
