Alexander Gallery To Host Oregon-Based Comic Book Artist In April

'SKELETONS: The spooky comic book of Tyler Crook,' will open at Clackamas Community College April 2, with Crook's reception April 11.

From Clackamas Community College: Emmy, a young woman, living in rural North Carolina during the 1930s, manifests magical powers around her 18th birthday. Emmy quickly learns her powers are linked to her town’s dark past, and the goblins living in the nearby woods.

‟SKELETONS: The spooky comic book of Tyler Crook,” opens in the Alexander Gallery Monday, April 2.

The exhibition includes a selection of pages from “Harrow County” a comic book by Oregon-based comic book artist Tyler Crook and published by Dark Horse Comics. The exhibition also explores the process of making a comic book page.

Crook will speak about his work at a free artist’s reception Wednesday, April 11, noon-1:30 p.m., in the Alexander gallery. Light refreshments will be provided.

Clackamas Community College’s Alexander Gallery is free and open to the public, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. except for campus closures. The gallery is located in Niemeyer Center on the Oregon City campus, at 19600 Molalla Ave.
