Clackamas County 2018 Halloween Sex Offender Safety Map

OREGON CITY, OR — Before your kids go out trick-or-treating this Halloween, take inventory of who is living in your neighborhood.

Clackamas County has 28 registered Level 3 sex offenders listed on the Oregon Sex Offender Registration list. A Level 3 offender is defined by the state as someone "who presents the highest risk of reoffending and requires the widest range of notification."

While the Oregon sex offender registry contains more than 28,000 entrants, is does not include individuals who are no longer required by law to register as a sex offender, or those who are still under state-mandated supervision. Additionally, according to the state's website, only those who meet the following criteria are included on the publicly viewable registry database:

• Level 3 offenders;
• predatory sex offenders; and/or
• sexually violent dangerous offenders.

Pins on the map represent addresses of offenders convicted of sex crimes that meet the state's registry requirements. Roll your cursor over the pins, and you will see more information pop up, including the registered sex offender's name, address, date of birth, and convictions.

You can use this information either to avoid trick or treating at these homes on Halloween, or merely to be aware of who's living in your neighborhood.
