Estacada Missing Woman: Carol Ann Hoy Found Safe After 2 Days

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office said that Carol Ann Hoy was found after two hikers saw her purse.

OREGON CITY, OR – Take a good look at the woman in the picture. She is Carol Ann Hoy. She's 76 years old and needs medication every day. The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says that she has been found safe after being missing for two days.

She had left her home between 9 and 10 a.m. Thursday and was believed to be in the areas of Eagle Fern or Southeast Howletts Rds. or Wildcast Mountain.

While deputies had said that while they didn't know what clothing she was wearing, they did know that Hoy was known to carry a pink purse. That proved to be the key.

Two hikers in Estacada noticed the purse along a logging road and called the sheriff's office. Search and rescue teams swooped in and found Hoy nearby. Except for some hypothermia, she seemed to be ok.

She was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
