OREGON CITY, OR — There's a variety of events happening around the region on the Fourth of July, and Patch has the list of all the best places in the tri-county area to catch Independence Day fireworks.

The Star Spangled Parade and Celebration in Lake Oswego: Beginning with a parade, the celebration goes from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and includes music, a pie eating contest, local foodstuffs, and entertainment for the whole family. Fireworks begin around 9:45 p.m. and are best seen from near the Lake Grove Swim Park;

The Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in downtown Portland: From June 30 to July 4 enjoy music, food, and more at the 30th annual waterfront blues fest. Fireworks begin after 10 p.m.;

The Pepsi 4th of July Spectacular at Oaks Park in Portland: A day of fun, food, and rides culminating in a fireworks show at dusk;

The Corbett Fun Fest: A parade and day-long festival with food, music, and games ending with a fireworks show in the evening at 35800 East Historic Columbia River Highway;

The St. Paul Rodeo: Five days of rodeo festivities from June 30 to July 4 will wrap up with a fireworks show visible from miles around St. Paul;

Independence Day at Fort Vancouver: The 53rd annual fireworks show at the fort across the Columbia River, presented by Bank of America; and

The Estacada Timber Festival: A day of rustic, old-timey timber chopping fun and fireworks at 30878 N.W. Evergreen Way in Estacada.
