• 2 people killed in head-on crash near Oregon City (kptv.com) — Two people were killed in a head-on crash just east of Oregon City, in unincorporated Clackamas County, when a Jeep and a pickup collided on South Redland Road. An Oregon City man driving the pickup and another driver were not seriously hurt, and investigators are still working to determine what caused the collision involving three vehicles.
   

• Cold Nights, Open Doors: Oregon Communities Expand Warming Shelters as Winter Tightens Its Grip (grantspasstribune.com) — An overnight community warming shelter is open in Oregon City, offering indoor warmth and basic accommodations during the coldest hours as temperatures drop toward freezing. Clackamas County officials say it will operate whenever severe cold thresholds are met, while other Oregon counties activate similar shelters as needed. Residents are urged to watch forecasts, use 211 for updates, and check on vulnerable neighbors.
